78年オハイオ生まれの本格派R&Bシンガー。22歳の頃、元NBAのマジック・ジョンソンが立ち上げたレーベル（MCAとのジョイント・レーベル）より第1弾R&Bアーティストとして『マイ・ソーツ』（2000年全米プラチナ）でデビュー。その甘いヴォーカルが世界を魅了し大ヒット。 その後も「エクスタシー』(2002年全米プラチナ）、『プライベート・ルーム』（2003年全米ゴールド）、『ディレクター』（2006年全米ゴールド）と着実に実績を重ねる。そして2008年、CAPITOL移籍第1弾アルバムを完成。。プロデューサーにはTrackmasters(LL Cool J)、The Architects(Missy Elliott)、Smurf a.k.a. Collipark(Soulja Boy)、Eric Dawkins and Antonio Dixon(Fantasia) を起用。全米チャート上昇中、恋人たちのためのバラード「ウェン・イット・ハーツ」収録。
