大スタンダードがズラリと並んだ人気盤。「モーニン」は、作者ボビー・ティモンズ他、リー・モーガン、ベニー・ゴルソンとオリジナル・メンバーが3人参加しているが、トランペット・ソロはリーダーのファーマー。ブルーノートのリーのソロと聴き比べてみるのも面白い。「ファイヴ・スポット・アフター・ダーク」は有名なサヴォイのカーティス・フラー盤の1週間前の録音でこちらが初演。他にもハード・バップを代表する錚々たるメンバーが参加しており、ゴルソンを中心した当時のミュージシャンの相関関係が伺える。12年ぶりのCD化。（UA→Liberty）
