Product Description

During World War II band leader Ambrose signed up Anne Shelton as a replacement for forces sweetheart Vera Lynn who was leaving the band. Anne was to help Ambrose to achieve many of the chart entries they achieved during the 1940's. However the recordings on this CD not only feature her performing with the Ambrose Orchestra, but with the BBC Light Orchestra, and the orchestras of Glenn Miller, Robert Farnon, Stanley Black, Jay Wilbur, Paul Fenoulhet and Camarata she also duetted on a number of occasions with Bing Crosby.
