聖杯戦争、それは手にした者の願いを叶えるという聖杯を求め、七人の魔術師（マスター）と契約した使い魔（サーヴァント）と共に最後の一組になるまで戦う殺し合いの儀式。幼いころ大火災によって両親を失い孤児となった衛宮士郎は魔術師を名乗る人物に育てられる。あれから十年、ふとしたきっかけからサーヴァント・セイバーと契約してしまった士郎は聖杯戦争に巻き込まれていく。

Essentially a compilation of the TV series, Chapters 1-12, the ”Reproduction” series captures the quintessential parts of the anime. Very nice recapture of the nicest scenes of the anime - the director manages to weave all the scenes together so smoothly that even if one had not watched the detailed shots, one can still understand and follow the anime pretty well. Very nice!
