And the Apologetic Dins Brad Dinsmore - Vocals, Guitar Cameron Hatch - Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keys, Drums James Coates - Vocals on track 2 & 6 Aubry Whitfield - Vocals on track 2 In the spring of 2011, roommates Brad Dinsmore and Cameron Hatch decided to record a couple songs that Brad was messing around with. Together, they recorded seven songs between March and May in their house's kitchen and living room. After friends James Coates and Aubry Whitfield helped out with some vocals on a couple tracks, the debut album Heavy Glory was completed. Track 1: Please The first track we recorded. Originally Brad played this as a slow acoustic song. Cameron thought it should rock. So we did. Track 2: Learn to Dance After the honestly hesitant vocals by Brad, Cameron's solo comes in and casts away all fear, leading to a beautiful ending with James and Aubry singing along. Track 3: Mt. Intex A first or second take recording of Brad and Cameron playing together in the kitchen. (A live performance with the exception of doubling some vox). Track 4: Chia Cat A fan favorite. So we didn't mess with it. Track 5: Heavy Glory Written while trying to record Chia Cat. 15 minutes later. We had not only another song, but a title track. Track 6: The Pool Too good of a song to subject to our vocals. So we asked James Coates to step in. Track 7: Contemplative Prayer This is what happens when Cameron and Brad jam.
