Anberlinの2年振り通算5作目となるアルバム！
Tooth & NailsからUniversal Republicへ移籍後2作目であり、次のレヴェルを目指すバンドにとって非常に重要な作品となった今作は、今年の3〜5月に5週間以上掛けてナッシュヴィルのBlackbirds Studiosでレコーディング。
メジャー・デビュー後の暗中模索状態だったバンドは、明確な指針と共に目指す音を名プロデューサー、Brendan O’Brienを迎えたそうですが、実は彼の娘が要チェックすべきバンドだと教えてくれた後にバンドのキャリアをリサーチし、自らプロデュースを申し出たそう。

デビューからエモだけに捕らわれない、全てのロック・リスナーの心を打つ素晴らしい作品をリリースし続けてきた彼らですが、今作もより多くの人に聴いて貰いたい、その一念が詰まった秀作ロック・アルバムとなっています！
また、アルバム・タイトルは Dylan Thomasの”Poem On His Brithday”から引用。人生と愛に存在する戦いをテーマとした作品だそうです。
