Alex Sanchez is a drummer, percussionist, bassist, guitarist, pianist, vocalist, composer, producer, songwriter, lyricist, depth-addict, and beatmaker who has been actively performing and collaborating within a wide range of musical styles and influences over the past decade. Originally from Odessa, Texas, Alex was raised around a variety of music, and began learning piano as a child at six, later to continue through the public school system to join the percussion and drumline programs, as well as a classical guitar program throughout his high school years, and was a state-ranking musician for both instruments. He loves listening, playing, and making all different types of music, and has been able to continue performing since moving to Lubbock, Texas since high school graduation. It wasn't until Alex took a songwriting class at Texas Tech when he was 19 that he decided to write his ideas down and start singing his material himself instead of having to find someone capable that wasn't already busy, and through this path, he discovered his voice, his soul, his mind, and his own journey. With ideas from all extremes at 360-degree relativities, simultaneously, on everything and anything, Alex Sanchez's lyrics are indeed cosmically spiritual truths of the trials of understanding consciousness. Alex is currently living and locally performing in Lubbock, Texas, with various cover groups and original acts, and is also attending Texas Tech University in pursuit of a business marketing degree. He is currently recording his second solo album in it's entirety as well as being a session musician involved with collaborative outside projects with other artists at Texas Tech University's newly donated Crossroads Recording Studio and other recording locations around town.
