Number Seven

This production is a project of the Caribbean, Brazil and the United States, where we study and create different kinds of rhythms and sensations, so that people feel relaxed listening and to dance and enjoy with the songs we have chosen for this great CD. This work is the culmination of all the experiences you live in New York with a Latin flavor, with Ivan Renta and Ruben Rodriguez giving us the best of their music for this project, and my family - my wife Milagros and my daughters Maryanne and Alexandra for putting up with me all these years and I hope that with this crop of hits you become delighted with our music! Alex Diaz - August 2013 Alex Diaz (La Tromenta) with his quintet has done a tremendous job in this produciin. The preparation of a very balanced repertoire is of the highest quality, both in content and musicality. Particularly striking is the variety of rhythms that live in perfect harmony on the CD - original compositions from Alex Diaz and Ivan Renta are very well made with superb content, the remaining arrangements are the result of wanting to make a masterpiece. The sound, the delivery of solos, the excellence from each musician makes it so that when you get to the last song you hit play and start over again. The CD has twelve songs for just about any type of musical taste: Latin Jazz, Jazz Salsa, Merengue Jazz, Palo Jazz, Afro-Brazilian Jazz - the constant presence of the Caribbean in the production makes one - as a Latino - be proud of the recognition it makes of our music presented in Jazz genre. This production is off the charts and should be in every record collection. Alex Diaz, Ivan Renta, Ruben Rodriguez and other musicians honor and carry the rhythms, colors and flavors of our islands and the Great Metropolis (New York) in a rich fusion with jazz.
