Product Description

Goodnight...

But Not Goodbye - Al Bowlly - Little is known of Al Bowlly's early years but suffice it to say during the 1930s he was to become one of the best of Britain's if not the Worlds popular singers. Ranking on a par with his American contemporaries such as Bing Crosby, Perry Como and Frank Sinatra. Towards the end of 1932 Al began his long association with the Lew Stone band and formed a partnership that was to produce some of the most outstanding dance records of the thirties and developed his inimitable style still further with this excellent band. During this period his 'pick up' recording sessions with other groups (apart From Ray Noble) came virtually to an end, whereas his output of solo items increased, and it is from these sessions that the recordings on this Audio CD are taken. For lovers of nostalgia this is a highly collectable Item.
