Jimbomba

Akira Jimbo has kept himself quite busy over the last couple of years, with his first lead album in 10 years "Four Colours" released in 2007 and "Get Up!" in 2008. In recording sessions for these titles in LA he played alongside brilliant musicians like Abraham Laboriel (b) and Otomaro Ruiz (p), and in this upcoming new album he also joins forces with Michael Landau on guitars! Frank Gambale the guitarist in the previous 2 titles shone with his truly exceptional performance but Landau also delivers a different, unique taste of sound that can only be achieved by a rare, gifted artist.

Jimbo's catchy tunes with full of Latin flavours as in Tracks 1 and 2, Landau's excellent renditions sparkling in Track 3, Casiopea-like rock tune Track 6 - everything in this album conveys real joy of music supported by super plays by an excellent group of performers led and conducted by Jimbo.
