Dubtronica

As a child I used to sit under the grand piano my Dad composed on, absorbing deep into my soul the tones and vibrations of his classical renditions. A few years later I found beats in the form of early hip-hop and electro-pop, they made my body move and I found a groove. As a young adult Reggae music consumed me, from the early roots days with Bob, Winston, Dennis, I-vibes, Black Uhuru, etc. All the way to the present dancehall scene with the hard beats and the reactionary crowd. (twerk-twerk). From this came rhythm a central and often over looked aspect of music. Follow this up with Heavy Dub tracks coming from UK and JA and you get the low octave warm wobble that I need and crave. Now with all these tones, beats, progressions I started harnessing the turntable skills, beat sequencing, and music style blending of yesterday's analog world with today's digital tools, control surfaces and plug-ins. The result of a natural progression or evolution into the future sound of electronic jazz, Dub/Dubstep and Edm.
