オープンリールから復刻した３曲はかなり音質が生々しい。フルトヴェングラーのオープンリールは稀少なので、この復刻は貴重だ。SACD盤との比較では一長一短というところか。しかし、平林氏には、さらにオリジナル・モノによるオープンリールからベートーヴェンの復刻をお願いしたい。一方のプライベート盤からの復刻によるリヒャルト・シュトラウスは音がかなり悪い。チェトラのLP、テスタメントのCDも同様に悪かったので、これが限界なのだろう。
