    　平家物語の名場面とその要訳，それに著者鈴木まどかさんのコメント，エッセイが載る。また，各名場面のさわりの部分の語りと平家琵琶をＣＤで聴くことができる。聴くことにより，平家物語の幽玄な雰囲気の一端に触れることができる。平家物語は語りと琵琶で聴くのが本来的な鑑賞方法だと思うので，この本は平家物語の入門としてお薦めできる。 　著者による語りは，綺麗な女声で聴きやすい。その反面，迫力のようなものはあまりないが，著者は，「語るとき感情を露にするのは無粋である。」と言っている。女声でもあるので低音が十分出ないのはし
