坂本龍一　復帰第一作は山田洋次監督作品「母と暮せば」の音楽。
小説家・劇作家の井上ひさしが広島を舞台に制作した戯曲「父と暮せば」と対になる作品として実現を願いながらもかなわなかたった物語を、日本映画界を代表する名匠、山田洋次監督が終戦70年、長崎被爆70年となる今年、映画化。
出演：吉永小百合、二宮和也、黒木花ほか。
2014年4月に開催されたオーケストラとのコンサート時に吉永小百合さんと山田洋次監督から直々に音楽制作を打診され快諾。
その後の病を経た坂本龍一の復帰後初となる重要な作品です。
