「レクイエム」などがなく、主要作品集というより、単にSONY Classicalのリゲティ作品をボックスにまとめてみました、というだけのものというのが正しいと思うが、そう割り切れば、非常にお得なボックスだった。正直、単品だったらわざわざ買わないだろうなという作品が少なくなく、こういうBOXだからこそ聴けたという掘り出し物が多数あった。過去に買ったWarnerやDGのボックスと良い補完関係になった。

　素晴らしい作品集。購入前は９枚組ということでビビッていたが、入手したらコンパクトなボックスセットで場所を取らないし、普段はロックかジャズしか聴かない私でもバラエティに富んだ作品集は聴いてて楽しく、あっという間に全作品を聴き通してしまった。売り切れになる前に購入をお薦めします。

あまり演奏される機会のない曲も収録されていて、特にオルガン曲が面白かったしオペラも良かった。しかし、有名曲を中心にワーナーのボックスの方に収録されていること、この2019年のボックスでは解説が一切無いのが残念である。
