本人のような濃い表情付けはせず、少々落ち着いた趣のある演奏。自演とはまた違った側面が見れて面白く、オケも中々健闘しています。6の歌は彼の編曲の中でも特に素晴らしいものだと思うので、編曲に偏見を持っている人にこそ聴いて欲しい絶品です。「スラヴの伝統的クリスマス音楽」はストコフスキー作曲となっていますが、イッポリトフ=イヴァノフの曲を元にストコフスキーが編纂したもの、といった方が正確だと思います。彼オリジナルの曲は「バランス・テストマーチ」や「弦楽の為の“夢”」等いくつかあるのでぜひとも録音して欲しいものです。
