展覧会は、2007年来日時のライヴ。フランスのオーケストラとメルクルさんらしく、典雅、丁寧、荒々しさの中にも、抑制が、効き、ライヴの緊張感、高揚感、熱の入った美演。しなやかな指揮姿が目に浮かぶ。コーダの乾いた鐘の音がいい。ロミオとジュリエットも迫力と冷静さ、繊細さのこもった好演。Naxosで録音していたら、こうはならなかったろう・・。
