    ３声、４声が普通だったこの時代に、１２声とは、あまりにも斬新で、当時の人たちは、さぞかし驚いたことでしょう。 トマス・タリスの４０声までいくと、凄すぎて圧倒されてしまう勢いですが、こちらは、そこまでの神々しさはなく、むしろ、人間味を感じます。 罪を犯して悔い改めず死を迎え、地獄に落ちた人々のデザインのジャケからも感じるような、救世主を乞い求める切なさと、それに応えようとする神の愛を感じさせるような曲で、非常にドラマティックです。
