古楽大国のオランダ発、気鋭アンサンブル、
コンバッティメント・コンソート・アムステルダムの最新録音はハイドンの希少な室内楽作品集！

音楽家としての長い年月をエステルハージ家に仕えてきたハイドンは、当時上流階級の間で密かなブームであった擦弦楽器バリトンをこよなく愛好していたニコラウス１世エステルハージ候のために、多くのバリトンのための作品を作曲しました。深く豊かな音色をもち多くの聴衆と演奏者を魅了してきましたが、実用的でなかったためにこの楽器は後に廃れていきますが、これらの作品はバリトン・パートを別の楽器に置き換え、その後も出版されたりして世に残っていきました。今回、ＣＣＡはあえてバリトンを使用してこれらの作品を演奏し、本来これらの作品が存在した形で当時の息吹を復元させます。（オクタヴィア）
