Collaborations

The concept of this CD is simple: take a well-known singer/songwriter, strip him of his usual touring band, compose eclectic jazz-roots-influenced string arrangements mottled with Middle Eastern tabla that expands into other-worldly territory, and then perform those songs live for a one-time-only special concert event held inside the beautiful stained glass acoustic sanctuary of historic St. David's Church in downtown Austin, TX. Collaborations is a charity compilation CD benefitting CASA: Court-Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children featuring incredible performances by Shawn Colvin, Eliza Gilkyson, Jimmy LaFave, Slaid Cleaves, Ruthie Foster, Patrice Pike, Guy Forsyth, Libby Kirkpatrick and Sara Hickman.
