初めて聞いたときに、これはロックではない...

初めて聞いたときに、これはロックではないよなー！と思いましたが、その後もずっと聞き続けました。俗に打合せ無しの即興に近い形での収録だったと言われていますが、その通りかもしれません。この録音の場には神が舞い降りたかのようです。今回、リマスターされるので当然買い、です！！

ひとりのアーティストが生涯に一度だけ作るのを許された名盤。これ以降のアルバムのどれにも似ていない（「Veedon Fleece」が似ているという説もあるけど、違うと思う）。そういう意味では一種の特異点であり、これ一枚で彼の音楽のすべてが語れるわけではない。もちろん必聴なんだけれども、ヴァン・モリソンというアーティストを知るためには他のアルバムも合わせて聴くべき。
