デイヴ・リー・ロスが復帰しての、ある意味、再結成盤。しかし単なる「また集まって作ってみました」というレベルを軽く超えている、ヴァン・ヘイレンらしい格好いい作品です。もっと新作を聴きたかったです。R.I.P.エディ。

デイヴ･リー･ロスが復帰したVAN HALENにとって14年振り、通算12枚目のオリジナル･アルバム。昔の曲を使っていても、曲は良いので文句はない。エディのGも元気で良い。仲良く続けてもらいたい。おすすめ･････①④⑤⑥⑦⑧⑩⑪⑫ 90点

初聴した時の印象は「無理してネ！？リキみ過ぎじゃネ！？」という印象を受けましたが、何度聴いてもその印象は消えませんナ。DAVE在籍時のＶＨの良さは「Pretty Woman」のカバーに代表される様なお気楽さとまたそーゆー曲をサラッとカッコ良く決めてしまう所にあったと思うんです。でも今作からはそーいったお気楽さやスマートさをほとんど感じませんナ。なんとゆーか「俺たち、まだまだこんなにハードに演れるんだゼ！」って無理して頑張ってる感じがする.....特にDAVEはそんなに高音を多用するVoじゃなかったでしょ？てツッコミ入れたくなる。辛口だけどこのアルバムが全米２位になるって事は、今のアメリカには若い元気のあるロックバンドがいないんだなぁて寂しくなっちゃいます。
