Gone & Done It

'This is a self recorded, self released EP by Trouble in the Wind. It shows acoustic based rock music but borrows style from country, jazz, latin and folk music. The instrumentation is acoustic guitar, stand up bass, electric guitar, accordion and a custom made drum kit with timbales and congas. It was recorded in bassist Trevor Mulvey's attic by guitarist Kyle Merritt, and was the first and last to feature percussionist Hugo Diaz Mercado before going back to his homeland in Spain. The EP is focused by vocalist/rhythm guitarist Robby Gira's songs which imagery brings dramatic stories to music.' 'There's something about the lackadaisical singing of Robbie Gira mixed with the tight instrumentation of Trouble In The Wind that had me hooked from first listen. With references to Johnny Cash and the Highway Men, Trouble In The Wind pay homage to the genre of outlaw country.'
