Toddla bounces through styles in the blink of an eye, from the bashy dancehall re-lick of duffy's stepping stone to the brief blaze of firing drum & bass from clipz to his fish go deep / geeneus / zinc medley to slices of funky through to some exclusive slabs of dubstep, then onto grime and 2-step - it's breathless, it's reckless and it's utterly brilliant. Toddla T's star has been in the ascendancy for some years, but with the release of his debut artist album in may of this year, toddla's made his mark. Featuring the likes of roots manuva (whose most recent album toddla produced a bunch of), joe goddard of hot chip, matt helders of arctic monkeys and tinchy stryder - it's received rave reviews everywhere from the daily telegraph to the nme. The level of excitement surrounding toddla is perhaps best demonstrated by the list of remixes he's completed. In the last two years alone he has remixed roisin murphy, jack penate, little boots, esser, hot chip, roots manuva, tricky and little dragon. Toddla T is a musical hurricane, a bundle of energy that has become a regular fixture at fabric since first bursting into the dj booth.
