Upbeat Love

Domino is pleased to announce the release of the storming debut album Upbeat Love by Threatmantics via Double Six Records. Threatmantics are an alt-rock and roll trio from Cardiff, who have been garnering some massive love in the UK recently, thanks to singles like anthem in the making 'Don't Care'. However, they are not quite like other rock and roll bands. This is mainly and probably due to their lead guitar being a viola and their drummer and keyboardist being the same person. At the same time. Originally a demo, then an EP, then a mini-album, Upbeat Love has grown up fast. After a lengthy delivery, spread over three separate sessions, the instantly addictive result speaks for itself - a short, sharp eight-track album packed to the brim with fuzzy, mind-blowing high-energy blues laden rock and roll. Thundering drums come courtesy of Huw Davies, dirty guitar of Ceri Mitchell and distorted vocals from lead singer (and viola player) Heddwyn Davies. Features the three minute disjointed foot-stomping corker of a first single, Big Man.
