An outstanding collection of music, 'The Very Best Of The Stone Roses' provides the first truly comprehensive anthology of this incredible, generation-defining Manchester band. Spanning the Roses' entire career, the tracklisting for the first time unites songs from their eponymous Silvertone debut and the Geffen-released 'The Second Coming' and has been fully approved by the band (the first time Ian Brown, John Squire, Reni and Mani have collaborated since Reni left the band in 1995). The album comes complete with exclusive John Squire artwork and extensive sleeve notes from long-time Stone Roses commentator John McCready. All tracks were remastered from the original tapes at Abbey Road Studios by Chris Blair, overseen by John Leckie and (for the 'Second Coming' tracks) Simon Dawson.

イアンは音痴だ。それは周知の事実だが、実はジョンもへたくそだ。それはＵＫ最高のリズム隊のレ二とマニも一緒。全てが過大評価されてしまったギターバンドではないバンド。それがローゼズ。しかしそんなの抜きにしてもこのアルバムの中には彼らが残した沢山の石ころが転がっている。そしてその中には綺麗な薔薇が咲いている。最高ローゼズ。

ベストもいいけど、『Second Coming 』のリマスターの方が魅力的だと思うけど？選曲最低〜。ジョンはともかく、イアンのソロ聴くくらいならこっちの方がマシだけど。ジョンのWaterfall聴いたけど最高！
