Metal from Argentina? Yes, sure: insiders can probably think of some names of South American bands. But: progressive metal from Argentina? Nada, nothing. So it's about high time to change this situation. And it will change, because Thabu is not only a progressive-metal-band; the four guys from Buenos Aires really live this kind of music, so that they will certainly be able to compete with bands from all over the world. The band's second album Reborn offers you powerful progressive metal, which is made distinctive by their multi-faceted music as well as James Robledo's powerful voice. The band, which was founded in 2004, has found it's own style, which reminds you of other power-metal-bands, but never too much. Wait until you've heard the whole album, especially the final track, and you will know that everything will be possible for Thabu. Pure Steel Records made a contract with Thabu, to release their album Reborn once again (the first time it was self-released by the band) on their sub-label Pure Prog Records; so it will be accessible to a broader public.
