それにしても、デレックのスライド・プレーはすごいです！ クラプトンも認める若手では最高峰のギターリストですね。 奥さんのスーザンもボニー・レイト張りのブルージーなヴォイスで マッチしてます。 ミッドナイト・イン・ハーレムは名曲です！ 是非、単独でジャパン・ツアーに来てもらいたいです！

「大所帯でワイワイ演りながら・・・」Derek Trucksの魅力、私的にはスライドギター＆ハモンドの「自由なテンション」が好みであるが故、ヴォーカルを中心に、そしてホーンセクションを多用したバウンドするTedeschi Trucks Bandのサウンドはやや陳腐で、物足りななくもある。ただ、これは一人のリスナーが嗜好の域で意見する贅沢であると、寛大に聞き流して頂きたい。そんな些細な事よりも、ここに聴けるサウンドがアーカイブス達の遺産ではなく、こちらが望めばライヴでも嗜むことが可能なアーティスト達の「新譜」であるということ。こんなに素敵なことはない。

全編スローな曲で聴かせてくれてはいるのだが、欲を言えば、ライブでよくやっているdelaney and the bonnieのcomin’ home、slyのsing a simple song、joe cocker mad dog ＆ englishmenのspace captainあたりも入れてくれば、もう毎日朝晩聞くぐらいだったんだけど。 来日お願いします！！！できれば仙台にも。
