Product Description

Digitally re-mastered and expanded edition of this 1979 album including two bonus tracks. Another Taste was the sophomore album from the Disco-Funk group on Capitol Records. The album returned the group to the Top 30 in the R&B album chart and featured the oft-sampled R&B 'Do It Good'. Like their debut album, it was produced by Capitol Records' Funk, Soul and Jazz legends Fonce Mizell & Larry Mizell. The album makes it's international CD debut with this release. Liner notes include detailed interviews. Also featured are two bonus tracks. Cherry Red. 2010.

Taste of Honey の第2作。デビュー盤1曲目のBoogie Oogie Oogieの大爆発で、グラミー賞まで取ってしまったこともあり、本作はやや影が薄いが、トータルの完成度はこちらが上だ。正統派ファンク①⑤、ちょっと趣を異にするさわやかな②、タイトなリズムを刻みながらも柔和でスマートな③、ゆったりとした雰囲気がいい⑧等、変化にも富み、聴き飽きしない。このバンドは、バンド名や、フロント（ベース／ギター）が女性2人ということから邪推される安っぽい甘軽さとは無縁の、パワフルかつセクシーな魅力を併せ持つ稀有なジャズ・ファンク・バンドである点を高く評価する。6つ星。
