Tarsha Fields, the hot new R&B/Jazz sensation, mesmerizes her audiences with a smooth, sultry, and distinctively seductive vocal style. Tarsha's sexy new CD is entitled: Share My World, and features the hit single: Answer Your Phone. Produced by Big Luke Hodges, and featuring songs written by R&B guru D Taylor, Tarsha calls this CD, by far the best work that I have ever done. Born in Greenville, SC, Tarsha grew up listening to Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Anita Baker, and Whitney Houston, and sites these classic artists as her greatest influences. While attending Mauldin High School, Tarsha was active in both her church choir and school chorus. She says she particularly enjoyed participating in Pop Chorus as this gave her a chance to learn and perform the songs and choreography from many of the famous Broadway Musicals. During her junior year in high-school, Tarsha was chosen to sing in the widely acclaimed national production of The Singing Christmas Tree. In this capacity, she was often privileged to perform at the legendary Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. In 1990, Tarsha moved to Charlotte, NC, to attend Johnson C. Smith University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Computer Science. While in college, Tarsha performed at many university shows and functions, and often thrilled student audiences to standing ovations. In 1994, she was chosen as the lead vocalist for her graduation ceremonies, by her peers. After graduation, Tarsha joined the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte, which often performs in conjunction with the Charlotte Symphony. In 2001, she released her first CD, the self-titled: Tarsha Fields. Currently, Tarsha appears at numerous clubs and events in the Queen City area, where she continues to delight audiences with her grace, beauty, and remarkable voice. Tarsha accredits her musical gift to God, and gives thanks, first and foremost, to the most high for blessing her with her golden voice, and guiding her towards her musical destiny.
