Superlove Highway formed in Raleigh, NC in late 2012 when singer-songwriter Nick Colmenares teamed up with veteran musicians Josh Pack (lead guitar), Nick Abbate (bass), and Dan (Danimal) Abbate (drums). The band weaves a wicked mix of rough-cut blues and alt rock married to irresistable melodies and gutsy vocals firmly rooted in the lyrical terrain of everyday life and death. Superlove Highway's sound has been called a cosmic combination of Wilco, Rolling Stones, and the Drive By Truckers, and their live shows certainly showcase elements of each.
