Ever since Substance Abuse dropped their critically acclaimed single 'What the F*#k You Rhymin' For' back in 2000, they have been hailed as the emissaries of the golden era in Hip Hop when you couldn't put out anything less than classic material. Following up with singles featuring lyrical heavyweights MF Doom, Rasco, and P.E.A.C.E. of Freestyle Fellowship, Substance Abuse has had fans eagerly awaiting their first full-length release. Now with Overproof, a term signifying 'more than ample evidence' of their eminent dope-ness, Substance Abuse aims to even out the playing field with a collection of heartfelt tracks that will remind the world what Hip Hop is supposed to sound like.
