Homebrew 5

The Home Brew project started way back in 1996 with Volume 1, drawing from Steve Howe's writing demos for music & songs before collaboration or re-recording for CDs like ABWH & GTR. Volume 2 touched on Union & Keys To Ascension by Yes & his early solo albums. Volume 3 was drawn from The Ladder & Magnification by Yes, & Steve's solo CDs Turbulence & Grand Scheme. Volume 4 has tracks from his Quantum Guitar CD, Asia's Phoenix and various other tracks, as they all do, from other projects. Volume 5 contains music from Yes's Fly From Here, Asia's xxx & Omega releases & Steve's solo Spectrum CD. Most tracks were recorded at Langley Studios, Devon, where Steve writes & records his ideas. Later they usually get re-recorded or collaborated with otherwriters. Steve then performs and records these basic ideas, which is kind of taken from the tradition that guitarists like Les Paul & Chet Atkins started when tape recording & over-dubbing became possible at one's home location.
