Clear The Club

Clear the Club is the first Splatter release in nearly a decade, and it marks a return to the early-fusion format the band featured in it's Racer Records release, Fistful of Dewey in 1994. This new release recalls the music of Miles Davis's electric bands as well as early Weather Report. The music is groove-based and melodic, but with sections of improvisation and noise that brings it up to date. The Splatter Trio is augmented by ten musicians, including David Slusser (John Zorn), Chris Grady (Tom Waits), and John Shiurba (Anthony Braxton). Many of the songs feature African and South American-inspired rhythms, driven by the fiery Latin percussionist Michaelle Goerlitz of Wild Mango.
