江戸時代―。誰も近づいてはならない。そう言い伝えられていた山の中腹に、一本の樹があった。雷に打たれ根本から折れた銀杏に桜が芽をつけた巨樹。その美しくも奇妙な樹の下で、二つの運命（さだめ）が、重なる。将軍家に生まれ、心に病を抱えた男・斉道（なりみち）。山で育てられた自由奔放な女・雷（らい）。それは、決して出会うはずのない二人だった。主演：岡田将生･蒼井優。監督：廣木隆一。同じく廣木隆一監督『余命1ヶ月の花嫁』でも劇伴を担当した大橋好規が、今作品でも独特の世界を展開。
