Product Description

Recorded live in the Fall of 1971 in Germany. This is a very short-lived lineup of the seminal and legendary UK electric Jazz and Jazz-Rock pioneers with: Mike Rutledge, Lowry organ, Fender Rhodes electric piano; Elton Dean, saxello, alto sax, Fender Rhodes electric piano; Hugh Hopper, bass guitar; Phil Howard, drums. The digipak includes extensive liner notes by Steve Lakes or ECM Records and former editor of Melody Maker. All the tracks have been remastered from the original recordings by Mike King (2008).

スタジオ盤「5」のクールな印象を吹き飛ばす、暑苦しい演奏。素晴らしい。「5」B面や「4」以前の曲も、当然ですがかなり印象が違っています。いわゆる発掘音源なのでしょうが、リリースしてくれてありがとうと言いたくなりました。
