Best remembered for their 1978 hit Driver's Seat, London-based New Wave combo Sniff'n'the Tears emerged from the remnants of the little-known Ashes of Moon, which disbanded in 1974. This is Sniff'n'the Tears' latest recording, created by singer, songwriter & main man Paul Roberts, who has continued releasing albums over the last two decades. The group were chart-toppers in Europe (twice in Holland) & Australia, and a #15 in the USA. This is a good chance to check out what Paul is up to now...

スタイリッシュな個性派だったスニッフン・ザ・ティアーズの復活作。渋いというのはこのアルバムのためにある言葉。もはやバンドというよりポール・ロバーツのソロみたいなものですが、行くところまで行ったような達観した枯れサウンドは圧巻。長年ロックを旅してきた人がたどり着く、ひとつの地の果てみたいなロック。この枯れた渋さを気持ちいいと感じるには、人生の年輪が必要でしょう。だれにでも作れる音楽ではありません。強い酒をゆっくりじっくり飲める人に似合う、ほんものの大人の音です。
