Silverqueen's music is for lovers and fighters. Stirring melodies and bold lyrics dressed in echoes and swirls, Silverqueen delivers with power and grace, very much a reflection of her cultural roots. The New York native is first generation American-born from the beautiful and politically conflicted Mediterranean island of Cyprus. A self-taught musician, she learned to play the guitar and piano and quickly began composing thereafter. Her purest outlet of expression however is her voice, stemming from a place of deep-rooted, raw emotion. Knowing music as a healer personally and with a strong urge to study the healing arts, Silverqueen went on to study Music Therapy at Berklee College of Music where she was commenced summa cum laude. Having served people with varying ailments and disorders in hospitals and other institutions, she has found that music has the power to assist transformations of the body, mind, and spirit. This philosophy translates in live performances and can be felt in the captivatingly haunting sounds affecting audiences. Silverqueen's music can be described as a soulful mix of spiritually driven punk, packing a hefty lyrical punch while gently carrying sweet melodies with her voice.
