オーストラリア期待のロック・バンド Sheppard、4年ぶりのセカンド・アルバム

■Sheppard：パプアニューギニアで育ち、若いころにオーストラリアのブリスベンに移住したというSheppard 3兄弟を中心とするロック・バンド。2009年ブリスベンで結成。メンバーはGeorge Sheppard (vo, key)、Amy Sheppard (vo, harmonica)、Michael Butler (lead g)、Jason Bovino (rhythm g, back vo)、Emma Sheppard (b, back vo)、Dean Gordon (ds)の6人。2012年に自主制作シングル「Sheppard」でデビュー。2014年にMGM Distributionからリリースしたシングル「Let Me Down Easy」は2013年の”ARIA Music Awards” で ”Best Independent Release” にノミネートされた。2014年にはDecca Recordsへと移籍を果たし、アルバム『Bombs Away』でメジャー・デビュー。オーストラリアのチャートで2位を獲得し、セカンド・シングル「Geronimo」は3週連続1位を獲得するとともに、2014年”ARIA Music Awards” の”Album of the Year”、”Best Group”、”Best Independent Release”、”Best Pop Release”、”Song of the Year”、”Producer of the Year”と”Best Video”と7部門にてノミネートされた。
