Swamp Pop Princess

Shelly Waters, hailing from Rayne, Louisiana (the heart of Cajun country), has been singing and playing music all her life. She grew up in a French-speaking household, soaking up the swamp pop and other bayou sounds on her parents' radio. Fronting her first country band at the mere age of twelve, she has had a lifelong devotion to music. 'Swamp Pop Princess', brimming with a dozen compelling original songs, is her long-overdue debut album, updating that classic swamp pop sound from a woman's perspective. She is now based in South Carolina, from which she and her band will be launching a national campaign to bring this fresh voice to a larger audience.
