The band has been creating buzz in the Pittsburgh music scene since Fall 2010. The Semi-Supervillains weave a wondrous web of garage rock goodness, slick and smooth yet deranged and distorted. Drawing melodic influences from the likes of Jack White and The Strokes as well as taking instrumental cues from the classic monsters. Vinnie Longhi writes with a clear conscience of pop and bluesy distorted destruction backed by a powerful talented band consisting of Ron Rekowski and various other musicians. The Semi-Supervillains released the single 'Black Letter' in early 2011. The track saw rotation on Pittsburgh's 105.9 the X and drew critical acclaim from Kurt Retenauer from the Duquesne Duke: 'Don't be fooled by their young age and new beginning. The Semi-Super Villains have a mature garage-punk sound that would put many bands to shame.' The Semi-Supervillains have been actively performing local and regional shows which they shared the stage with bands such as IAMDYNAMITE, I Fight Dragons, JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound and topping 2012 off at New Year's Eve with FOXY SHAZAM.
