On Harp Wings

'On Harp Wings' is Sarah's debut album. Sarah began playing the harp at the age of 12. Her paternal grandfather built both her harps from kits...the Regency harp from Musicmakers and a double strung harp from Stoney End Harps. The double strung harp is featured on three tracks of the album ('Are You Sleeping, Maggie?', 'Greyhound', and 'One Morning in Springtime'). The traditional Scottish song, 'Are You Sleeping, Maggie?' features Sarah on both the double strung harp and her Regency harp. Sarah chose Traditional Irish, Traditional Scottish, and Traditional English songs to include on her album. It also features some original compositions by Meg Robinson, Laurie Riley, Kirsten and Bonnie Mohr, and Christina Tourin. On the inside cover, Sarah writes: I thank God for the talent of bringing joy to others. I would like to extend my deep love and thanks to my mom and dad, who generously provided harp lessons for six years. A thank you to my brother, Kevin, for all his love and support. A special thanks to my harp teacher, Mary Ellen Fitzgerald, who taught, encouraged, and inspired me to develop my gift of music. Most especially, I would like to express my special love and appreciation to my grandfather, Nicholas Cotugno, for all his hard work, time, and patience in building my two harps.
