Roman Revutsky possesses a genuine sensibility of pop that stands either way over sad structured rock or complex electronic music sequences. Roman is a singer/songwriter who, directly from the four walls of his house in freezing Siberia, still has the warmth to keep his tender heart alive, pumping strange stories told by a soft and charming voice that will hardly be unnoticed. With a nave attitude, Revutsky fills the gap nineties indietronica left between rock and electronic music: earnestness and reality. Though his music doesn't properly fit in that genre, Roman will probably enchant enthusiast followers of this kind of pop music with his awkwardly hypnotic lyrics. The tracks he has recorded and made available are irresistibly charming (his voice, prominantely accented, is reserved but strangely moving, like a Siberian Stephin Merritt), and though it's impossible to be sure of how his album will sound once completed, I have a hard time imagining it being anything less than stellar.
