Product Description

Generations is a trio comprised of musicians spanning a 30-year age difference. Their musical connection, transcending age and experience, is readily apparent as the trio applies their spin to jazz standards, such as Blues Connotation and I Hear a Rhapsody, and modern originals. Veteran drummer Rich Thompson teams with pianist Chris Ziemba, winner of the 2011 Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition, and bassist Miles Brown to contribute a dynamic and swinging new recording to the great piano trio lexicon.

Rich Thompson was the power that drove the Basie Sound - the Boston Globe.

Eastman School of Music の准教授（非常勤）を勤めるドラマーのリーダー作で教え子（？）とのピアノトリオ(ラスト曲はts＋)。Jamrs Williams(p)を招いたリーダー作（’90、LP)を聴いたことがあるのですが、特に引っ掛らず引越し時に処分したみたいです（みあたらない！）。ジャズマンのオリジナルとスタンダードを取り上げスピードもタメもあるストレート･アヘッドなトリオ演奏で好演ですがちょっと薄味。録音もグッド。
