Imagine The Possibilities

Any parent will tell you that there are many times throughout your child's life when you stop and think about the future and dream and wonder about what your child will be doing x number of years from now. Sometimes those moments are exciting, and sometimes they can be terrifying and fearful and usually leave one big unanswered question mark. After all, who can tell what the future holds? For the parents of a special needs child, there is always an element of fear along with the curiosity. No matter how far your faith carries you, there are those quiet times in the night when parents cling to one another and with tears in their voices ask the darkness, 'What's going to happen to my child?' Never in a million years could we have imagined the possibilities that lay in store for Reid. When Reid was first diagnosed with autism at the age of three, the probabilities far outweighed the possibilities. He would probably never make eye-contact, would probably never communicate outside of the echolalia which he used exclusively. The extreme violent behaviors which were a normal daily occurrence would probably never be managed. in essence, we were given very little hope that our son would ever have any sort of meaningful existence, so it was recommended he be placed in an institution as this would be the best solution for all. But since the Sorias aren't ones to give up easily, we embarked on a long, tedious journey of learning how to best love and teach our son. Through trial and error, endless prayer and hope, perseverance and faith, Reid has made and continues to make incredible and amazing strides that far exceed all expectations. Along the way, we have met and have been embraced by so many amazing people who have lovingly supported Reid throughout the years and continue to believe in him as he pursues his dreams as a performing artist. There have been friends, teachers, supporters, encouragers, and fan club members who have stood with this young man and have imagined the possibilities alongside with him. It is to you that we dedicate this CD and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Words can never express how much every one of you has meant to us.
