The three musicians - Rainer Bhm, piano, Aidan O'Donnell (bass) and Jeff Hirshfield (drums) met for the first time in summer 2007, when Rainer Boehm was studying in New York. There they were playing together continually and only 'just for fun', without a thought of founding a band or the pressure to produce something new and extraordinary. Why should they make the jazz world happy with another piano trio-CD? Maybe just this relaxed atmosphere was the ideal breeding ground for developing something special. After a short time they already noticed how aesily they could communicate. Each one payed attention to the other and all together played on the same wavelength. With the compositions of Rainer Boehm they developed a very individual sound, characterized by expressiveness, strong melody lines, clarity, interaction and dynamics. The musicians didnt want to boost their egos but to play together and to express emotions. Finally this sound wasnt made to be locked in a studio. Also the surroundings should to be carried away by their playing enthusiasm. So in summer 2008 the three musicians produced the first CD in New York, in one of the most famous sound studios of the World - the 'Systems Two'. All members of the band have made a name for themselves beyond their home countries. Rainer Boehm received many first awards in international competitions, in Germany, Belgium and Spain. Aidan O'Donnell from Scotland, although very young, has just played with many famous musicians like Ethan Iverson, Dave Binney, George Colligan and Antonio Sanchez. Jeff Hirhfield is the most experienced and world-wide renowned player; he played, among others, with Zoot Sims, Clark Terry, Mose Allison, Woody Herman, John Abercrombie, Randy Brecker, Eliane Elias, Jim Hall and John Zorn.
