名曲「クリープ」がグランジ以降のスラッカー・アンセムとしてウケようと、前作「ベンズ」が全米でヒットしようとそんな事お構いなしに常に前を向き続けている彼ら。そんな彼らが作り上げた９０年代ロックのある種の理想形を極めたと言っていい作品（但し、発売当初の評価は今程ではなく、ここにきてジワジワ効いて浸透してきた感じ）。わざとらしく盛り上がる派手な曲など無いのに、”感情を人に伝える”といううた本来の力でヴォーカル（トム・ヨーク）が聴き手に迫ってくるさまは、ただただ美しく感動的です。ＯＫ！　何と言おうと傑作だ！
