Product Description

Digitally remastered edition of this 1988 album from the L.A. Hard Rockers. with original vocalist Kevin Dubrow fired from the line-up, the band intended to carry on under a new moniker and looked to modify their sound, whilst searching for a replacement vocalist. They quickly settled on ex Rough Cutt singer Paul Shortino, developed a chest thumping blues rock style and met with their record company about recording a new album, only to be told that contractually, and for commercial reasons, they would have to continue using the Quiet Riot name. Despite the odds stacked against them the bands final album was a spectacular statement, drinking from the same bluesy well as Whitesnake, Rainbow and Dio. Paul Shortino's vocals are both impressive and effective, whilst the songs are little short of spectacular, leaving nobody in any doubt that had this project been launched as a brand new entity they might well have gained a new lease of life to rival their original success. やりたい放題のケヴィンが解雇され，新たにポール・ショーティノを迎えた作品。ボーカル交代の影響は大きかったのか，来日ライブを行ってもあまり騒がれることはありませんでした・・・　しかし中身は素晴らしく，スローテンポでシブく歌うショーティノの声はRough Cuttの曲を彷彿させます。完全に別グループとして解釈すれば，何も気にすることはないのではないでしょうか。

このバンド「L.A.メタル」ブームの時よりどうしても好きになれなかった！ その要因は（Vo）のケヴィン.ダブロウにある！彼等の最大のヒット作「メタル.ヘルス」からシングル.カットされたスレイドのカヴァー「カモン.フィール.ザ.ノイズ」が全米で爆発的ヒットを飛ばし、天狗になったケヴィンのビッグ.マウス（大口叩き）は留まる事無く酷くなり挙句の果てにはメンバーに愛想つかされてクビ！まさに「口は災いの元」「身から出た錆」である！しかし、後任の人選が素晴らしかった、元.ラフ.カットのポール.ショーティノである！今まで見向きもしなかったバンドだったが、このアルバムは発売当時、即効で買いましたね！当方、個人的には全く別物として今でも捉えてます。ハッキリ言って楽曲はそこそこの出来ですが、ポール.ショーティノが歌っているという事に、このアルバムの存在意義があると言っても過言ではありません！歌の上手さにお金を出して手にする価値は絶対にあると思うんだけどなぁ～！

Vo.がKevin Dubrowから元Rough CuttのPaul Shortinoに替って制作された’88年作。良い作品だが、’86年の「QRⅢ」とともに、当時の印象は薄かったかも。その「Ⅲ」とコイツが、Rock Candyから同時再発…うーむ、どっちを先に買い直そうか？地味に悩む（Rock Candyの再発クオリティは高評価しているが小遣いが足りない。。）因みにアルバム発売前の’87年に開催された「JAPAN AID 2nd」出演で、このメンバーで来日しましたね（古っ）
