前作から8年ぶり、通算11作目となるジョン・ライドン率いるPiL(PUBLIC IMAGE LTD.)の オリジナル・アルバム『END OF WORLD』リリース！
バンド史上、最も長く安定したラインナップが渾身の力を注いだ新作は、2018年に行なわれた40周年ツアー中にレコーディングがスタート。その後、新型コロナウイルスのパンデミックの影響も受けながら、ロックダウン後に再開されたセッションによって完成した。しかし、23年4月5日にジョン・ライドン最愛の妻であるノラ・フォースターが逝去。アルバムの発売延期も懸念される中、バンドは深い悲しみを乗り越え、この『END OF WORLD』のリリースを決断。ライドンがフォースターに捧げた美しくも切ないラヴ・ソング「Hawaii」を始め、“中世のバイキング叙事詩のようなもの”と表現する「Penge」など 全13曲を収録。
