スウェーデン出身の5人組による約3年振りのアルバム。結成20年を経て発表されたアルバムは、デス･メタルに別れを告げ、ノーマル･ヴォイスのみでの表現になり、より70年代のサウンドになった。今までのファンには賛否両論あると思うが、作品の完成度は高い。 おすすめ・・・・・②③④⑦⑨⑩

今作はグロウルを一切使っていないということで不安があったが、試聴で興味をもったので購入。期待以上の作品だった。いい意味で古臭い(20代の僕が言うのもあれだが)。サウンドプロダクションもいわゆるメタル的ではないし、今までのようなエクストリームな音や曲展開を期待していた人には物足りないかもしれない。しかしOpethだからこそ出せる気品に満ちあふれた作品であると感じた。深く沈みこむような音空間が何とも心地よい。Opethはこれからも自分たちの音楽を追求していくだろう。更なる深化、そして進化を期待したい
